About the role:

As a Data Analyst in Engineering Services you will work closely with Engineering Product Specialists to deliver data reporting, insights and improvements for the Technology Services Community. The roles and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Creating, defining and documenting metrics to measure process performance, benefits and data quality
  • Improving data quality by leading diagnostic and remedial activities, and with gaining stakeholder buy in
  • Creating reporting and alerts
  • Providing deeper ad-hoc analysis
  • Proactively contribute to the identification of data driven improvement opportunities
  • Liaising with the Data Engineering team to provide pipelines of data
  • Supporting with data modelling and data architecture activities
  • Developing & maintaining relationships with stakeholders, championing data-informed decision making
What we're looking for:
  • An analytical thinker who can break down complex problems, define metrics and provide results in a clear and actionable way.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience using SQL/BigQuery & Google Sheets
  • Experience of data mining and interpreting large datasets
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio
  • Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical senior management and key stakeholders
  • Self-driven, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues independently
  • Experience defining and measuring data quality
  • Experience defining data models
Desirable
  • Experience of leading data improvement activities
  • Experience of the Engineering Product Lifecycle and PLM systems
  • Experience of IT Service Management
