We are searching for a Senior Underwriter to join our team that focuses on Renewable Energy in London. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating insurance risks across our diverse portfolio. You will have the autonomy to make key underwriting decisions while building strong relationships with stakeholders. We are looking for someone with a deep industry understanding, business acumen, and a drive for achieving business success.Your role:
  • Underwrite insurance risks to align with the Business Plan and meet business objectives
  • Contribute to developing the team's business plan for the renewable energy sector
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support business goals
  • Develop strategic relationships in line with the Business Plan
  • Ensure compliance with insurance strategy to mitigate risks
  • Participate in shaping team strategy and best practices
  • Promote the department and company brand positively
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain underwriting standards and best practices
  • Stay updated on market dynamics
  • Communicate effectively with Underwriting Assistants
About you:
  • Proven experience in the Renewable Energy insurance market
  • Commercial acumen and proficiency in relevant software
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiating skills and an innovative approach to underwriting
