The Role - Scrum Master
We are looking for a Scrum Master to join us with a focus on maximising value delivery.

Reporting to our Director of Engineering and working closely with all disciplines within our Engineering and Product Management team, you will be responsible for:

  • Running several scrum teams simultaneously;
  • Running estimation sessions;
  • Running all planning sessions and working with product managers to refine the session;
  • Running showcase sessions;
  • Running daily standups and keeping the team on track and time limited;
  • Story ownership and working with the scrum team to run 3C sessions;
  • Making sure that the sprint delivery is on target and working through and resolving any blockers;
  • Refining WIP limits;
  • Running retrospective sessions and allocating and incorporating actions;
  • Reporting to management on sprint and overall burndown progress;
  • RAID management including managing risks and issues as they arise, collaborating with senior stakeholders as required to resolve them;
  • Facilitate communication between roles and protect the team from distractions and interferences;
  • Eliminating any impediments so the team can remain focused;
  • Manage any expedited work to completion so that the team can fully focus on the sprint.

You'll need to be:

  • A selfstarter that thrives working independently;
  • Assertive but diplomatic and take control of the process and flow of work;
  • Well versed in estimation strategies;
  • Flexible. Adopt a pragmatic approach, especially for 'time sensitive' changes of high value for the business;
  • Confident and thrive in working within a collaborative environment with multiple functions (Engineering and Product);
  • An excellent communicator (both written and verbally) and comfortable communicating at all levels.

And preferable skills:

  • Working at a senior level already with clear experience managing scrum teams.
  • Strong Project Management skills (e.g. Planning, RAIDs, Stakeholder Management)
  • To have worked with Kanban before or be familiar with the process.
  • Attained or working towards CSM qualification;
  • Experience working in a PCI Compliant Financial Services environment;
  • Exposure of the OWASP Top 10 security threats;
