Support Worker

If you have previous experience as a support worker then this would be ideal for you. If not, don't worry if you have no experience as this isn't necessary and full training will be provided. We are just looking for caring and compassionate people who want to make a difference to people's lives.

Support Worker duties:

  • Key working a caseload of clients across the area, you'll be given the trust to work autonomously and manage your own schedule
  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities
  • Booking viewings/appointments
  • Signing and moving tenants in
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
  • Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development

What do you need to be considered for this role?

  • The ability to engage and build strong relationships with people
  • A nonjudgemental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
  • A forwardthinking and resilient attitude, to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face
  • A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations
  • Experience in support work or housing, with an understanding of housing options, housing law and basic benefits would be beneficial
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car

Salary:
£10.00-£11.00 per hour
