Gardener/Groundsperson required for temporary cover starting as soon as possible until late summer. This would suit an experienced gardener or someone looking to begin their career as a gardener(college leaver for example).

This is a Monday to Friday position 8am to 4pm with the chance for extra hours if required. For the right person this can lead to a permanent placement if required.

The Position will include:

  • Grass cutting using large garden machinery, strimmers etc
  • Hedge Cutting
  • Weeding
  • Pruning
  • Cutting back
  • Restocking
  • General tidying of the garden

The person:

  • Reliable, punctual and enthusiastic
  • Able to work alone and as part of a small team
  • Will love working outside and be physically fit and healthy
  • Will have an interest in gardening and be keen to learn more
  • Happy to follow instructions
A good hourly rate will be offered.

Contract length: 3-4 months

Part-time hours: 32-40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Gardening: 1 year (preferred)
- grass cutting: 1 year (preferred)

  • Horticulture: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
