Responsibilities

Weatherford has an exciting opening for a seasoned QC Inspector to join the team in Aberdeen, responsible for inspecting a wide range of product line assets which encompass Drilling, Fishing, Liners, Completions, Well Services, Secure Drilling, and Drilling Services:
  • Inspect company-owned and third-party equipment as per relevant company, customer, and industry standards.
  • Complete inspection reports, work orders, and instructions promptly to maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Conduct visits to Inspection and Repair facilities when necessary to ensure compliance with Weatherford/Client Specifications.
  • Act responsibly at all times to ensure all products meet applicable company, customer, and industry standards.
  • Participate in all necessary training courses to maintain competency levels.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment used in the inspection process.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure equipment is inspected to support operational needs.
  • Assist in reviewing Material Test Reports for new equipment to guarantee adherence to industry manufacturing standards and Product Line purchasing requirements.
  • Execute any other assigned duties by Line Management within defined timelines in a safe and efficient manner to meet business needs, provided the tasks are reasonable and within your capability.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Participate in Shift Work.
  • Engage in the On-Call rotation.
  • QHSE Responsibilities:
  • Show personal dedication to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment.
  • Adhere to Weatherford's, and as applicable Client Company's, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
  • Follow the designated Roles and Responsibilities documented in Document 2-2-EW-GB-EDI-00001.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • Standard Grade education in English and Maths.
  • Prior experience in inspecting Rotary Drilling, handling equipment, Bottomhole Assembly, and Drill pipe.
  • Previous experience inspecting Fishing tools.
  • Proficiency in reporting inspection findings.
  • Dedication to maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new standards.
  • Certified to ASNT level II in Magnetic Particle inspection (MPI).
  • Certified to ASNT level II in Dye Penetrant.
  • Solid knowledge of company, customer, and industry inspection standards.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Literate and numerate.
  • Capable of working collaboratively and interacting with various departments.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new standards.
  • Flexible approach to work hours.
  • Valid driver's license.
PREFERRED:
  • Certified to ANST Level II in Ultrasonic Inspection.
  • Certified to ACFM.
  • Education at a Standard Grade level in a science or technical field.
  • Prior experience in inspecting Liners, Completions, Well Services, Secure Drilling, and Drilling Services.
