As a Maintenance Engineer, you will have a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment at our Packing Plant and broader site to efficiently deliver beer to our customers. Whether you're performing planned maintenance or conducting root cause analysis, your solutions will be invaluable to our operational teams.
Working closely with a colleague and a supportive engineering team, this diverse role is based at our Westgate Brewery site and follows a three-shift pattern from Monday to Friday:
- Week AM to 2:00 PM
- Week PM to 10:00 PM
- Week PM to 6:00 AM
Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:
- Offering multi-skilled engineering support with a focus on mechanical or electrical aspects
- Dealing with various equipment and systems including fillers, packaging systems, and robots
- Effective fault-finding and problem-solving
- Supporting engineering projects and enhancements
- Implementing changes to enhance line performance and plant efficiency
- Training operatives to improve their understanding of plant equipment
Requirements:
- Completion of an apprenticeship
- Relevant qualifications in Multiskilled Electrical/Mechanical Mechatronics
- Previous experience in FMGC, ideally in food production
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and electrical systems
- Skills in bench fitting for machinery repair
- TIG welding experience
- Understanding of Production line philosophy or Liquid transfer
- Ability to systematically identify and resolve faults
