We are currently looking for two Traffic Marshall / Load Inspectors to join the Operations division based at our Linwood site.

These are both full-time permanent roles, one on dayshift and one nightshift.

The role will involve ensuring that vehicle movements are coordinated and carried out in a safe manner.

The role also includes load inspection duties to ensure waste is being tipped in the correct area and that the waste is suitable for processing.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Control and coordinate traffic on site
  • Ensure vehicles are banked safely
  • Inspection of tipped loads to ensure compliance
  • Raise nonconformances to supervisors/management
  • Completion of iForms for non compliant loads or loads tipped in the wrong area.
  • Effective communication skills must have a good comprehension of English
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Willingness to undertake physical duties as the role will involve walking, crouching and bending.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English to an intermediate level both written and verbal
  • A current plant/vehicle marshal qualification would be advantageous but not required
  • Previous experience within the waste industry is desirable but not required.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Earn £10.84 per hour (dayshift) and £13.55 (nightshift)
  • Minimum 48 hours per week with overtime opportunities available
  • Shift pattern working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm (dayshift) and from 6pm to 6am (nightshift)
