Our client, a growing worldwide distribution company, are looking for a Senior Import Coordinator
with previous knowledge and experience with importing goods from around the world.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To organize the importation freight arrangements for suppliers outside the EU, via sea, road, air, and
courier, to ensure the shipments arrive in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Negotiating the best freight rates, routes, and timings from the freight agents, to ensure costs are kept as
low as possible.
Updating data of each shipment including EU ones, ready for confirming the entry
declarations with HMRC via CDS
Working with the purchasing ordering team to ensure correct documentation is available at the time of
shipping.
Coordinating deliveries from the freight agents to the warehouses and communicating with the warehouse
team

KEY SKILLS
Preferably with experience of working within a custom warehousing environment, and HMRC CDS reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent computer skills and with an attention to detail, systems knowledge of the following will be crucial, Microsoft, SAP B1, and inhouse web
portal.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good investigative problem-solving skills.

Operating a Custom Warehouse regime linked to the HMRC Cds systems, and previous experience

in this field will be a good asset to any applicant.

The salary range is between £ 33-37,000 per year.

Additional days holidays are added after 5 years and 10 years.

Working days 8.30am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch with the offer of flexible working within the day.
