About the Job:

McGinnis Loy Associates is collaborating with a dynamic regional Accountancy Firm with 5 offices in London and the Thames Valley. They are currently seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior Manager with a clear path to Partnership in just 2 years. Based in their Berkshire offices near Bracknell, you will report to a Partner and take charge of managing a diverse portfolio of OMBs/SMEs, which includes sole traders, companies, and partnership clients with turnovers up to £75m. Your role will involve overseeing a team of Qualified & Junior staff, ensuring the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing intricate accounts & financial statements crafted by junior staff for partner approval
  • Ensuring compliance with auditing standards for fixed assets & depreciation, stock, accrued/deferred income, and accruals
  • Leading complex audits, organizing staff schedules for audits, concluding audit files, and conducting wrap-up meetings with clients
  • Planning special project tasks, managing allocated budgets, and meeting client deadlines
  • Setting goals and conducting assessments for Audit staff, supervising them during client visits, and providing guidance
  • Conducting meetings with Audit clients to analyze company accounts (including group entities, partnerships, and LLP's) and corporate tax obligations
  • Serving as a primary contact for clients and other external stakeholders, engaging directly with CFOs and MDs
  • Ensuring all Audit & Accounts team activities are executed efficiently and in a timely manner following the firm's protocols
  • Engaging in business development initiatives, endorsing additional service offerings within the firm, and participating in external business seminars/events when needed

About You:

To qualify for the role of Audit & Accounts Senior Manager, you must be a Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with a degree, possessing extensive experience in Audit & Client Accounting alongside robust staff management abilities. The firm is seeking an individual with the potential to advance to a Partner position within 2-3 years, hence they are looking for someone with ambitious, entrepreneurial, strategic, and highly motivated qualities. It is essential to have current knowledge of IFRS & IAS, and familiarity with IRIS and Sage Accounts would be advantageous.
