The Logistics departments of Dextra Group plc.

deals with all incoming raw materials into the Company, distribute to the various units around the site and dispatch all finished goods on our own fleet of lorries throughout the UK and EU.


Main duties & responsibilities:

  • To receive goods from suppliers following ISO procedures.
  • Using equipment in a safe and professional manner at all time.
  • Informing the Supervisor of any issues regarding stock shortages or issues with stock.
  • Putting products away in the right location, making sure it is marked up correctly and stock rotated.
  • To support with waste management across the site undertaken by Goods Inwards.
  • To handle goods with care and following health and safety guidelines on manual handling.
  • To deal with customers collecting goods, in a polite and professional manner.
  • To load and unload lorries with the product, using equipment supplied to perform this task in a safe manner, being aware of ones surroundings at all times.
  • Report to the Supervisor of any damages to equipment or that seems faulty.
  • To ensure the work place is kept tidy and clean at all times.
  • Actively engage in offloading shipping containers and processing the products following ISO procedures.
  • Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company
  • Follow the requirements of the Company's ISO Procedure
  • Follow the Company's Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work.

Post Requirements:

  • A basic understanding of Warehouse Operations.
  • Numerically and literacy competent with basic understanding in computer operations.
  • Would be an advantage to have forklift licences either in counterbalance, reach truck or both, but not essential.
  • IPAF3A licence would be an advantage but also not essential.
  • To be able to work as part of a team but when required use their own initiative.
  • To be able to work in a tidy and organised manner.
  • To follow instructions from the Supervisors and being able to ask a supervisor when not sure.
  • Acting professionally and courteously when dealing with other departments.
