HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds.

HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.


This sales support role involves offering specialised support for AM's Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) and Index business and assisting the ETF Sales Directors.

The responsibilities also include recognising sales prospects with existing and potential clients, building a client portfolio, and actively engaging in marketing the ETF range alongside marketing and product experts, and attending industry gatherings.

In this role you will:

  • Support the senior sales team to contribute to the growth of the ETF business in the UK.
  • Develop into becoming an expert in ETFs and index funds based on client requirements and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including marketing, product specialists, capital markets, and EMEA Institutional and Wholesale sales.
  • Address client inquiries, coordinating, and assisting in the preparation of RFPs, RFIs, and comparative analyses.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of analysis and information on HSBC ETFs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Essential:
A basic understanding of the financial market is necessary. This must encompass capital markets, and funds.

Preferable:

Experience in Sales, Account Management, Client Relationship Management, Marketing, or Promotion is highly preferred due to the need for strong client relationship management skills.


  • Self-motivated individual who is proactive and eager to learn, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail. Capable of assuming responsibility for overcoming obstacles.
  • Proficient in engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
This role is based in London.
