We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Lead to join our team in the UK and Ireland and spearhead our efforts.

You will be accountable for the strategic and operational marketing of Compass UK and IE to achieve its marketing goals, building our brand awareness and generating qualified marketing and sales leads in our target markets.


What you'll do:

Strategy & Vision

  • Develop our marketing strategy in collaboration with National Marketing Manager and take lead where applicable.
  • Build customer personas, identify buying behaviour and understand pain points to inform marketing strategy and campaign.
  • Conduct research into industry trends to identify opportunities to penetrate new markets.
  • Monitor education news outlets and engage as needed to ensure Compass has a credible voice in the wider education space.
  • Review competitor activity to define and develop effective counter strategies where appropriate.

Campaign Management

  • Manage and deliver local multichannel marketing campaigns across print, digital, content marketing, video and other online content.
  • Develop campaigns that stimulate the interest of potential customers and generates a sustainable source of inbound marketing and sales leads.
  • Manage campaign activities and initiatives with our partner marketing agency to ensure they are executed successfully, on time and within budget.
  • Manage marketing budget, track and reconcile marketing spend and provide forecasting to the National Marketing Manager.
  • Setup tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities to monitor campaign performance.

Social Media Management & Communications

  • Manage, moderate and review social media channels to increase engagement.
  • Create social media and content marketing plan in collaboration with the National Marketing Manager and marketing agency.
  • Curate content and write posts to engage audiences across LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube channels.
  • Develop content and editorial for publication and manage relationships with industry media.
  • Manage communication requests from internal stakeholders and execute accordingly.

Content & Design

  • Work with the National Marketing Manager and internal stakeholders to create high quality customerled content for use across marketing channels.
  • Create and develop marketing collateral to support key stakeholders and departments i.e. sales, onboarding and client support documentation.
  • Manage the briefing process and act as interface between internal stakeholders and marketing agency.
  • Identify termly campaign themes in line with school milestones and calendars.
  • Oversee design projects with external agencies to ensure project/campaign deadlines and brand expectations are met.
  • Ensure the Compass UK and IE website is relevant and optimised to increase user experience and support brand awareness and conversion.

Events Management

  • Plan, coordinate and execute an events strategy to support the wider marketing strategy.
  • Develop marketing content and deliver against marketing entitlements for relevant partnerships and conferences.
  • Plan and order branded merchandise, maintain merchandise stock levels and equip the sales team with required merchandise and displays.
Any related, ad-hoc tasks, as directed by your manager.

Who you are:

  • You have extensive business to business marketing experience (46 years), ideally within the education or technology sector.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and be able to leverage market trends to Compass' advantage.
  • Highly creative, with the ability to generate innovative, but actionable, ideas.
  • A strong social media voice with the ability to engage community stakeholders across social channels.
  • The ability to simplify complex information into userfriendly marketing material.
  • Detail orientated with strong organisation and time management skills.
