DELIVERY DRIVER WITH CURRENT DBS.

Responsibilities:

Vacancy is located between Shawlands and Rutherglen Area.

  • Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or malfunctions

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
Clear communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to schedule and priorities workload.
  • Confidence to engage customers in open conversation.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Effective team player
  • Clean drivers license
  • Experience driving a 3.5 ton vehicle (i.e. Transit van)
  • Good local knowledge of the local area.
