Description


Working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant PE and School Sport (PESS) apprenticeship, you will work under supervision to develop and delivery PE and School Sport to pupils with SEND at Nethergate Academy.


Duties will include - (with support and under supervision):

  • Support the work of academy staff to deliver high quality PE and school sport.
  • Prepare, assist, lead and review PE and School Sport sessions across the academy.
  • Assist with assessment data for Assessment of Pupil's Progress.
  • Commitment to lead and deliver extracurricular activities to include after school clubs.
  • Complete and maintain all appropriate data and administration associated with the role of PE and School Sports Apprentice.
  • Promote health, safety and welfare and support equality and diversity in PE and School Sport.

We are looking for someone with:

  • GCSEs in English and maths, plus a level 2 or 3 PE/sport qualification
- excellent communication skills
- attention to detail
- strong IT skills
- the ability to form good working relationships with pupils and colleagues
