General duties of Garment Quality Control:

  • Manage the quality control process to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
  • Inspect Garment after production.
  • Fault Finding and reporting
  • Inspect and ensure garment/fabric is not damaged.
  • Touch up items with irons or steamers as needed.
  • Fold, wrap, and package items as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Keep accurate records of production and quality control results.

Garment Quality Control Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge and previous experience within similar industries preferred
  • Skilful manipulation of pressing equipment and tools such as irons and steamers
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to identify fabric characteristics such as fibres, weaves, finishes, etc.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality work.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy bundles of fabric.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
