Finbourne Technology is seeking an experienced Project Manager to be part the Client Delivery team. The successful candidate will lead client implementations of Finbourne's products to the benefit of clients operating in financial services industry. The new team member will have extensive experience in leading technology transformations in buy-side firms and proven ability to deal with the complexity of implementation of financial products, projects and organisations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects across a portfolio of clients throughout the project implementation lifecycle, from initiation to handover and BAU
  • Build and maintain project and programme level plans comprising complex streams of work, assimilating client external deliverables against internal builds and resource requirements
  • Manage project scope and applying discipline in change management
  • Use internal systems like JIRA, Dynamics and industry standard project documentation and project logs to track progress
  • Drive the delivery of the project within agreed scope and time, unblocking issues in order to maintain progress and achieve project objectives and milestones
  • Work closely with SMEs, Product and Engineering teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of solutions to clients, escalating issues and blockers when they arise
  • Attend and drive meetings with client and FINBOURNE internal teams
  • Track resources and cost throughout engagements, ensuring the adequate level of coverage is allocated
  • Build strong professional relationships internally and with clients
  • Build an understanding of the FINBOURNE's core products, LUSID and Luminesce, to facilitate client discussion and ensure smooth implementation

What skills, experience and qualifications we require:

  • Minimum years' experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on implementation and transformation projects
  • Experience in financial services industry and understanding of investment markets, institutions and participants and the roles they play is essential
  • Strong knowledge of financial products - having worked with financial products and their datasets – or, alternatively, extensive experience supporting buy side clients through technology change and system migration
  • Deep understanding of investment operations across the product lifecycle, including but not limited to NAV and P&L calculations, corporate action processing, trade booking, cash/income forecasting, FX exposure, custody management, settlement, performance measurement and client/operational reporting.
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders, both internally and on client side with the scope of driving projects forward
  • Liaise and building consensus across multi-discipline teams based across multiple time zones
  • Delivery focused, entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability rapidly identify risks and blockers and lead resolution
  • Solid knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge and experience in the Fund accounting and/or Transfer Agency business, with background in operations and project implementation on the either buy or sell side
