About us


Churches Action for the Homeless is a local charity supporting the homeless and vulnerable across Perth and Kinross for over 30 years, we believe in helping those that others may have given up on.

We are currently recruiting for a Recovery Support Worker at the following project:


Tayview House which is a 24/7 residential unit for 8 people who have experience chronic homelessness and require specialist support for a period before moving onto their own tenancies.

Each person has their own flat and the project has some communal areas.

Main Duties:

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals in need

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting individuals with daily tasks and activities
  • Respond appropriately to individuals' challenging behaviour and ensure their well being
  • Work with individuals to keep their accommodation in a good order
  • Providing emotional support
  • Supporting individuals in educational and recreational activities
  • Ensure that service charges are collected and recorded efficiently
  • Supervise medication in accordance with Medication Policy
  • Support a service user involvement strategy; encouraging participation and providing feedback to individuals on service delivery issues
  • Contribute to the creation of a culture in which the housing & behavioural support needs of the resident is paramount
  • Support the ongoing development of a recovery focused service
