Age UK Leicester Shire and Rutland is looking for a Co-ordinator to oversee its volunteer befriending service that provides support for isolated older people in Rutland.

This is a well-established and amazing service that offers invaluable support that makes a difference to the everyday lives of isolated older people.

You will be responsible for the development of the befriending service, working to achieve project targets & goals.

You will undertake home visits completing assessments ensuring the needs, strengths and preferences of the clients are taken into consideration when matching them with volunteers.

You will be responsible for the recruitment and development of volunteers ensuring the best possible service is implemented.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help make a difference to individuals who require the service, you will be adding value not only to the service but most importantly to the clients.

Excellent organisational skills.

Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.

Team Management or previous leadership skills are preferred but not essential.

Excellent IT skills

Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

Ability to work effectively in a team/group setting.

Thorough attention to detail

Empathy & situational awareness

Knowledge of safeguarding issues

Enhanced DBS applies.

Full clean driving licence with business insurance is essential.
25 hours per week

Salary £16,646.65 per annum
