As a Paralegal in our Asbestos team, you will play a crucial role in supporting in all aspects of asbestos disease litigation such as mesothelioma, pleural thickening and lung cancer. Therefore, you will have a natural ability to provide legal services with a personal touch, demonstrating your care, understanding and sensitivity to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on asbestos-related cases, including case law, regulations, and medical literature.
- Manage and organise case files, including medical records and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Exercise judgement and decision-making skills while working under supervision.
About You
- Law Degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in asbestos litigation or a related field.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Previous experience working a case management system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
