We are excited to say we have a rare opportunity for a new member of staff to join our team as Pre-School Room Leader.


Please see below for the job description:

  • Ensure planning is completed meeting the interest of children, next steps for ALL children and coverage of the EYFS.
  • Ensure evaluations are completed and this information feeds into children's Learning Journeys and planning
  • Ensure all staff receive noncontact time to fulfil additional roles (expert practitioners, SENCO, Language Lead)
  • Ensure staff complete tracking (March, June, September, December), have professional conversations regarding key children's development
  • Update children's next steps and ensure its updated on the EYlog.
  • Plan termly Meet the Key Person Events
  • Plan graduation
  • Peer on Peer Observations
  • Sign of the month on the Facebook page
  • Monitor menus to meet the dietary needs of children
  • Support staff within room to fulfil their role
  • Open/close the nursery
- ensure all closing checks have been completed properly

  • Ensure room ratios are maintained
  • Monitor and organise Key Children groups
  • Monitor, organise and adapt group times/daily routine
  • Lead Team Meetings
  • Plan trips with necessary risk assessments
  • Monitor planning, observations and end or nursery reports
  • Carry out home visits
  • Liase with schools for children transitioning in September
  • Complete monthly first aid checklist
  • Plan and ensure focus book is changed termly, displayed in the room and shared in Facebook group with parents
  • Monitor parents in the private Facebook group and update as necessary
  • Answer phone and deal with enquiries
  • Monthly learning walks

Pay:
£13.00-£15.00 per hour
