Contract Supervisor

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor with expertise in roofing and groundworks, who possesses a positive attitude and proactive approach.
As an applicant, you should have a solid technical background in building and maintenance, with a specialization in roofing and groundworks. You must be capable of providing accurate estimates for various small works projects and have prior experience in a similar supervisory role. Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude is crucial, along with demonstrating politeness and courtesy at all times. Successful candidates will also be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Main Duties:Keep the Call Centre and the Client informed about the progress of worksLiaise with building users to ensure clear communicationReport to the office and resource controller regularlySupport the development of operatives' skillsAssist the Contract Manager with scoping, pricing, and job deliveryManage on-site work efficientlyConduct quality checks on completed worksSupport the Resource Controller with technical aspectsCarry out daily tasks including site inspections, health & safety observations, and quality checksResolve complex issues with guidance from senior colleaguesParticipate in the call-out rota for emergenciesInduct new staff members effectivelyKnowledge required:- 3+ years' experience in Property Maintenance and small works
- Technical expertise in reactive maintenance and problem-solving
- Recruitment and induction skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Recordkeeping and trend analysis abilities
- Team player mindset
- Trade qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS Health and Safety
- PASMA & Scaffold Inspectors certification
- IOSH Working Safety
- Construction Skills Certificate Scheme accreditation or equivalent
- Asbestos awareness and unlicensed removal training
- First Aid Trained – 3 day course
- Full Driving Licence
- Proficiency in Roofing and Groundworks
- Experience in preparing quotations and estimates
- Knowledge of building regulations and practices
- IT proficiency with various systems
- Effective communication skills
