Job Description:

We are looking for a talented security engineer to lead hardware security testing across Arm's range of hardware products. This position is part of Arm's Product Security team, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing security measures for Arm's hardware systems and fostering a strong security culture.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough security assessment methodology for systems and SoC.
  • Conduct security assessments on compute sub-systems and SoC security.
  • Assess the efficiency of security mechanisms and countermeasures.
  • Review hardware implementation at RTL level for security vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and execute security tests on various hardware components.
  • Offer security guidance to engineering teams.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry best practices, emerging threats, and security technologies relevant to SOC devices.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven expertise in system/SoC security architecture.
  • Solid understanding of SoC architecture, embedded systems, and hardware/software co-design principles.
  • Experience in creating and evaluating threat models.
  • In-depth knowledge of microarchitectural attacks, side channels, and fault injections.
  • Proficiency in Verilog RTL coding and scripting languages like Perl and Python.
  • Background in security assessment for hardware systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and secure boot mechanisms.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with Arm instruction set architecture.
  • Understanding of security certification schemes and international standards.
  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing, fuzzing, and red team activities.
  • Capability in exploit development for HW security vulnerabilities.
  • Practical knowledge of security assessment tools including JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
