Cardiff, Cardiff, United Kingdom Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Full time

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a proven record of delivering transformational change to lead our new Change Hub team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team, working at the nerve-centre of transformation in the Health Board to support delivery of our priority change portfolios and our strategy.

The Health Board have determined a number of priority programmes that will help recover our services following Covid-19 and achieve our Shaping Our Future Wellbeing Strategy.

We have seen an outstanding commitment from our staff in the face of the covid and winter challenges, and we are determined to help them deliver the priority programmes as effectively as possible.

The Change Hub (similar to a strategic PMO), has two aims:

  • Support a consistent and effective approach to delivering the priority programmes
  • To make change easier for everyone at CaV

It will do this by providing the organisation with tools and training for programme delivery, providing direct support to the priority portfolios and programmes, and by ensuring a high-quality flow of programme information to the executive team.

We are seeking an individual to lead this small but ambitious function as we look to deliver change of an unprecedented scale.

Working with the Director of Improvement & Innovation, and the Assistant Director of Improvement, Implementation & Spread the post holder will lead on developing and delivering system transformation programmes across the UHB.

This will impacton all strategic change initiatives and will ensure the alignment of the UHB's 10 yearstrategy 'Shaping our Future Wellbeing' and operational priorities with improvementand implementation policies and practice to maximise the health and wellbeing of thelocal and national population.

The post holder will lead and manage the UHB's Change Hub Team and is expected to mentor colleagues and transfer skills in order to grow the programme and project management capabilities of the organisation and to champion their role across the University Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Boardis one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.

Working across 6 hospital sites, we have a diverse range of career opportunities to offer.

Serving around 500,000 people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, we are focussed on the health and care needs of our local population whilst working with our partners to develop regional services.

Our mission is "Caring for People, Keeping People Well", and our vision is that every person's chance of leading a healthy life should be equal.

As an organisation we are unashamedly ambitious for our population's health, rising to the challenges of today and tomorrow through our 10-year strategy, Shaping our Future Wellbeing.

We are contributing to a healthier Wales with great emphasis placed on innovation and improvement, learning from around the world and leading the way in clinical research.

Partnership working is strong at Cardiff and Vale, and we work closely with our staff and our community.

Cardiff, the thriving Welsh capital, is a fantastic city to live and work in with an abundance of sports, arts and cultural attractions.

Situated to the west of Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan offers a combination of beautiful Welsh countryside and a dramatic natural coastline.

Whether city life or rural living, Cardiff and the Vale offers the best of both worlds.
