Trainee Management Accountant

Oxford - office based

£20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience

My Oxford based client is looking for a Trainee Management Accountant to join a close-knit and nurturing team of 7, all at different stages and levels of qualifications.

As a trainee Management Accountant, you will be given 20-30 of your own small clients tomanage, this is very much a hands on role with lots of client contact.


Responsibilities:

  • Completion of VAT returns
  • Preparation of management accounts, including maintenance of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers as required
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring clients and HMRC deadlines are met by managing your own and your clients' time effectively
  • Raising draft invoices for director/partner approval
  • Assisting with the implementation of procedures for new assignments
  • Reviewing input from junior members of the team, where this forms part of your own assignment

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in practice desirable
  • Experience of working in a Financial role is essential
  • AAT qualified or first tier of ACCA qualification
  • Able to use Xero, Sage 50 Accounts, Quickbooks and Excel
