The role


Working as a Network and Security Consultant within our Managed Security Services team, you will use your expertise to support our vast customer base with securing their networks against threats.

You will work with a multitude of different security technologies including Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, zScaler, mimecast and more.


You will be working closely with the MSS Support Team and will be required to lead customer Network and security projects from pre-sales handover through to delivery.

You will represent Nettitude's excellent professional standard to customers while working alongside other MSS Consultants, Implementation Engineers and Vendor Security Engineers.


As a member of Nettitude's Managed Security Service (MSS) team you will provide first class service to both Internal and External Customers, delivering excellence in all areas of your work.


Location


This role is hybrid based within the UK, with a mixture of Home and Office based working for collaboration, team building, workshops and clinic days.

We can support working from across the UK. All applicants will require residence in the UK.

What you'll be doing in your role:
As a Network & Security Engineer, you'll need to:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Network based consultancy work.
  • Presales assistance for Nettitude MSS customers and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Perform and complete Project taskbased assignments during the onboarding of Customers to the Nettitude Managed Security Services
  • Design and implementation of new network and security solutions to customer environments. Ensuring delivery is to the highest standard.
  • Support the production of documentation to ensure the smooth delivery of technical projects

These include:
Statement of Works, Build of Materials, High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs.

  • Carry out configuration reviews for network and security devices for both onpremise and cloud based environments
  • Conduct large scale Operational Technology (OT) security audits
  • Generate reports for both technical and nontechnical staff and stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments. Researching emerging cyber security threats and how it affects the services that Nettitude delivers to their customers.

Key Skills:

The following are strong recommendations and in most cases prerequisites of the role.

  • Expert level knowledge with core network technologies in largescale deployments
  • Minimum 34 years' experience delivering projects to enterprise level clients
  • Expert level understanding of networking including strong knowledge in IP stack
  • Very Good working knowledge and experience with LAN & WAN, Routing protocols
  • Experience with delivering projects related to Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet solutions
  • Experience with firewall ruleset, device configuration, device health check within onpremise, hybrid and cloud environment.
  • Experience with OT Security Audits
  • Professional level certifications in core Networking or firewall technology platforms (CCNP/CCSE/ PCNSE/NSE5)
  • Experience on scoping projects to deliver network and security solutions
  • Excellent delivery of HLD, LLD, and other technical architecture documents
  • Excellent communications and customer facing skills with a positive and proactive attitude towards customer issues
  • Excellent Team player

Desirable:

  • Experience of automation using Ansible, Python
  • Experience with Network Detection and Response solutions
  • Experience with configure and deliver F5 Web Application Firewalls
  • Experience with NAC solutions delivery such as Cisco ISE, Portnox, etc.
  • ITIL qualification or awareness of the ITIL processes
  • Experience of working in a multiclient solutions provider
