About the Job and the Company

At Corsearch, technology plays a crucial role in our operations, encompassing Engineering and Data Science functions. Our global team of 180 professionals is divided into Trademark Solutions and Online Brand Protection Business Units. Brand Protection involves large-scale web crawling, workflow web applications, and managing vast datasets. We are seeking a skilled Python Software Engineer to enhance the enforcement system of our flagship product within the Brand Protection unit. This role focuses on modernizing the master data system, data warehouse, and middleware APIs using Python, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, BigQuery, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.

The Python Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Corsearch Zeal, our cutting-edge Brand Protection platform. This project marks our most significant technology transformation, and we need an experienced engineer to establish a scalable foundation for our enforcements workflow. You'll closely work with peers in Data Platform, Crawling, and AI to build robust and scalable solutions that drive innovation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and implement back-end components for intelligent workflows and enforcement processes
  • Enhance system performance and ensure consistency
  • Develop back-end logic for new features and adapt to business requirements
  • Drive technological transformations with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
  • Write high-quality code, create documentation, and share knowledge within the engineering community

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in
    • Python
    • Elasticsearch
    • Cassandra, BigQuery, or Scylla
    • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or MongoDB
    • Containerization and serverless architectures (K8S/EKS, lambdas)
    • Observability tools like NewRelic

  • Experience with Engineering Best Practices, TDD, Jira, Confluence, technical documentation, agile development, and open source awareness
