Reporting to the Director and Senior Corporate Counsel, Development, EMEA.The Legal Counsel, Energy/Power is responsible for legal and corporate governance in support of the organisation's power projects across EMEA.
The organisation is frequently engaging with Transmission System Operators, Distribution Network Operators and Independent Distribution Network Operators and/or their equivalents across EMEA, in order to secure the required connection, import capacity and infrastructure needed to power their data centers.

In addition to providing excellent legal expertise and support, the candidate must bring a proactive, business and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters, an enterprise lens and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and specifically within the EMEA power team.
The successful candidate will have at least 7 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm.Ideally, with experience within the energy sector and experience of the process of obtaining a connection with the National Grid or other equivalent National Electricity Transmission System Operator.
A desire to take ownership of their area of legal responsibility for Power and Infrastructure and experience in continuous improvement and driving enhancements that benefit the Company.
