CNC Turner

CNC Programmer, Setter/Operator is required for an established precision engineering company based in Bishops Stortford.
The applicant will be required to create programmes from technical drawings.

Experience of using tool probing would also be an advantage.

You must be capable of reading technical drawings and have the ability to work to close tolerances when required, preferably in a variety of materials.

The ability to CNC Mill would also be of great advantage along with knowledge of ONECNC.

**Main Duties:
- **Programming and Setting of 4-Axis CNC Turning Centers to produce components from technical drawings.

When required Programme and Set CNC Milling Machines (Training can be given).

Work to close tolerances using a variety of materials.

Be directly involved in the continuous development of programmes and processes to improve productivity and quality.

Be responsible for checking own work and the work of lesser skilled staff.

**Personal Specification:
- **Experience in programming, setting and operating 4-Axis CNC Turning machines.

A Working Knowledge of Siemens SINUMERIK Control would be advantageous but not essential providing you have a willingness to learn.

Knowledge and understanding of machine tools along with there correct usage.

Knowledge of tool data such as thread geometry and ability to read tool charts.

Excellent communication skills.

Be able to respond to dead lines and be pro-active in anticipating potential problems which may impact these.

Problem Solving.

Be organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task.

Work cleanly, tidily and considerately of co-workers.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Excellent time management.
