General Foreman

We're hiring a General Foreman to join our Regional Civils team located in Middlezoy, Somerset.

• Location: Middlezoy, Somerset
• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Salary: up to 56k based on experience

Responsibilities:

As a General Foreman, you'll work with the Regional Civils team on various civil projects in the Southwest Environment Agency Collaborative Delivery Framework where Kier is the Principal Contractor. You'll ensure Earthworks, Concrete works, and Drainage works are done accurately, maintain quality, keep records, avoid defective work, and maintain progress.

Your daily tasks include:

• Deliver work packages as per schedules and coordinate with operational teams.
• Participate in regular meetings for clear communication, progress reports, issue identification, and record-keeping of work variations.
• Focus on Health and Safety, ensuring completion of risk assessments and adherence to Kier's policies.
• Coordinate operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers efficiently to minimize costs.
• Ensure timely, within budget, and satisfactory project delivery.

Requirements:

This General Foreman role suits you if you have:

• CSCS Gold Card and SMSTS
• First Aid Training and Health and Safety awareness
• Understanding of commercial and temporary works
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Managed a small team before
