Education & professional Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • CIPD
  • Evidence of CPD

Experience:

Essential criteria:

  • Employee relations experience in a complex, multidisciplinary and culturally diverse organisation
  • Experience of generating, presenting and delivering complex data/reports.
  • Experience and knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service including Agenda for Change.
  • Experience of operating effectively in a customer facing environment
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and understanding of the risks of noncompliance
  • Experience of advising managers on highly complex and serious individual and/or collective conflict situations including disciplinary, capability and grievance issues
  • Knowledge and experience of using HR systems
  • Experience of preparing Employment Tribunal information
  • Welldeveloped understanding and awareness of bestpractice employee relations methodologies
  • Experience of working in a multiunionised environment

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of managing a team/supervising others work and setting performance standards and targets
  • Experience of Medical and dental terms and conditions of service and MHPS case management

Skills and aptitudes:

Essential criteria:

  • Able to plan and organise the work of themselves and others to ensure targets and outcomes are achieved
  • Able to provide direct support to managers on compex case managmeent issues
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Able to analyse complex information and identify appropriate recommendations
  • Able to advise managers on case management issues related to T&Cs and ER related queries
  • Well developed influencing and negotiating skills
