Akkodis is looking for an Electronics & Electrical Design Engineer to join our project teams in Bristol to support existing Landing Gear and Fuel Avionic Test Benches.

This role will be hybrid with an expectation of predominantly being onsite in Filton, Bristol. We are open for this opportunity to be permanent.

Responsibilities:


Working on larger scale electrical test rig design projects delivering a complete test rig as part of a team.nProviding Architecture Design Solutions/ Electrical Component electrical schematics and understanding the language behind it to meet the Requirements of the test rig.nTackling small modifications to the test rigs to support upcoming test campaignsnModification to existing test rigs.nAssessing modification requirements from design office/test team and developing a suitable solution.nUpdating or creating new wiring diagrams and wiring lists.nLiaising with the onsite team or external supplier to implement/build the solution.nCommissioning of the test rig design/modification solution Delivering a comprehensive report to the customer.


Participate:


Design solutions on test rigs.nCreation of wiring diagrams/wire lists, etc.nUsing existing test rig electrical drawings to fault find on existing rigs.nSupporting the test benches by troubleshooting electrical issues and investigate the issue and develop a solution.nSupport the testers in carrying out certain tests with diagnostic equipment e.g., oscilloscopes, DVM's, ARINC 429 test boxes, etc.nDesign of new sub systems for test rigs.nAssess new requirements.nLiaise with the onsite team or external supplier to implement/build the solution.nCommissioning of the test rig design/modification solution.nFully documenting and Commissioning of the solution.


Required skills:


AutoCAD Electrical & Ki CAD or equivalent Experience (ESSENTIAL).nFault finding and problem solving (ESSENTIAL).nSchaeffer Front Panel Designer Software (preferably but not essential).nBeing able to produce electrical / mechanical drawings and electrical schematics (ESSENTIAL).nGood knowledge of communication protocols (ARINC, AFDX, ...) is a plus.nMicrosoft Visio experience (IS A PLUS).nUnderstanding of Electrical Design (ESSENTIAL) and Electrical Systems.nUnderstanding of Fuel and/or Landing Gear Systems is beneficial (NOT MANDATORY) – training will be provided.nMinimum basic electronic circuit design knowledge using relay logic, diodes, resistors, capacitors.nPC digital inputs and outputs.nExperience working with test rigs (IDEALLY).nExperience working with modification requirements.nExcellent communication skills & Experience working as part of a team with the ability of working autonomously.nKnowledge of Excel, Word (or Google Docs, Google Sheets).
