Looking for a motivated individual with experience in office administration and customer service to join as an Administrator and be a crucial part of our local service team striving to tackle housing challenges with dedication.

About Shelter

Every person deserves a safe home. It's where we build our lives. Yet, the housing crisis continues to impact millions daily.

We stand for the right to a secure home. Because a home means everything.

We are in search of driven individuals to join us. This is your opportunity to contribute to the significant change we aim to accomplish.

We are determined to combat the injustice at the core of the housing crisis. To succeed, we must represent the people we serve and those who support us. We are committed to inclusivity and transparency in all decisions, striving to fight racism within and outside of Shelter.

About the team

In Norfolk, we have been offering housing advice for over 25 years, with offices in Norwich and Kings Lynn, as well as Court Desks in various locations. Working closely with communities, we address housing issues, prioritize supporting individuals with additional needs, addressing discrimination, and ensuring fair access to social housing.

About the role

You will be the primary contact for visitors and callers, handling client information, providing assistance, and collaborating with advisors. Your responsibilities will include administrative support, office systems development, data management, and financial tasks. Supporting case administration, assisting in projects, and ensuring office equipment upkeep are key aspects of this multifaceted role.

We value flexibility, personal growth, and a diverse workplace where success is based on merit.

About you

With experience in office administration and customer service, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, and a commitment to social justice, you will excel in a busy office environment. Your adaptable approach, eagerness to learn, and ability to analyze data and improve processes are essential.

Our offer includes a competitive salary, 30 days of annual leave, family-friendly policies, pension, and various benefits such as travel loans, cycle schemes, and employee assistance programmes.

Join us in making a difference in ending the housing crisis's impact on individuals and communities.

Ensuring safety is a collective responsibility at Shelter. Upholding the health, wellbeing, and rights of those we support is our commitment. Professional conduct and adherence to our safeguarding policies are expected from all staff members.

Shelter does not entertain unsolicited CVs from external agencies or any associated fees.
