The Victim Safety Advisor role at Black Country Women's Aid focuses on supporting victims of domestic violence in Sandwell, Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Walsall. This position involves working with a variety of agencies to assess risks and create tailored support plans for individuals in need.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will have experience in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, conducting risk assessments, needs assessments, and support planning. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of safeguarding principles for both children and adults.
Role Description:The Victim Safety Advisor position is a new opportunity at BCWA aimed at enhancing the safety of domestic violence victims. The advisor will deliver frontline support, act as a primary point of contact, and facilitate access to the Sanctuary Scheme. Working collaboratively with partner agencies, the advisor will establish criteria and pathways for this innovative project.
Requirements:- Experience in supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively
- Understanding of safeguarding principles
- Compassionate, self-driven, and ambitious
Black Country Women's Aid is dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable individuals and expects all team members to share this commitment. All positions are subject to necessary checks, including DBS clearance.
