Purchasing System Lead

We're thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity to join Barchester's procurement team as a Purchasing System Lead at our Warrington office. In this role, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning, development, and implementation of the procurement purchase to pay system for Barchester's 250 care homes and hospitals in the UK.
This new digital solution is part of Barchester's extensive digital transformation initiative. Collaborating closely with the project team, you'll be instrumental in delivering an effective purchase to pay system that enhances commercial performance. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful integration of the new system, providing guidance and insights to the business on its usage and compliance. As the project progresses, you'll also have the opportunity to build your own team to further support business objectives.
This is a permanent position located at our Warrington office.
- Competitive starting salary of £35,000 per annum

Required experience and qualifications:
- 3 years of previous experience in purchase to pay systems
- Experience in setting and monitoring policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
Role and responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and delivering the purchase to pay system
- Establish new operating procedures and processes
- Manage a help desk and provide support to the wider business
- Conduct data analysis post-implementation
- Develop and revise policies and procedures affected by the new system
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Offer guidance to care home teams and trainers
- Ensure system compliance with regulations and best practices
