Contract Duration: 3 months initially, will be extended indefinitely as long as everything goes well

Pay:
£22.00ph paid weekly via umbrella - no CIS or LTD available

To carry out cyclical inspections on communal fire systems within the housing stock. Working alongside the M&E and Capital Works team.

Duties

  • To ensure the electrical works are in compliance with the NICEIC and LBI standards. This includes checking quality, addressing any issues, and carrying out testing required works.
  • To support the M&E Group Leader in maintaining high levels of attendance, motivation and discipline and notifying the M&E Group Leader of any absence, disciplinary and capability issues.
  • To attend all meetings as necessary to the role and required by the M&E Group Leader
  • To address any noncompliance and notify the M&E Group Leader of any continued issues.
  • To carry out site safety inspections and electrical testing of properties/works.
  • To report any follow on related repair works identified with the customer where these cannot be completed during the visit, providing sufficient detail to ensure an accurate 'further works' order is raised on the system.

Qualification & Experience

  • Apprentice trained with NVQ level 3, or Advanced, and City and Guilds 239
  • This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced/Standard/Basic satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service formally known as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure this will be carried out by the agency and at their expense
