Finance Analyst

This Finance Analyst role is ideal for a meticulous and analytical candidate who desires to contribute significantly to an established manufacturing team. The position is based in Haslingden and will require strong analytical skills and a focus on financial reporting and forecasting.

The company is a leading industrial and manufacturing firm located in Accrington. They are a large organisation, operating in numerous markets and delivering high-quality products to a wide range of clients.

Description

• Weekly update and ownership of direct labour spend and hours reports to feed all business reporting requirements.
• Reporting of company overhead expenditure on a weekly basis, providing detailed analysis and breakdown by manufacturing site, supplier and spend category.
• Maintaining weekly and monthly analysis files for Gross Margin Operational spend and KPI's to review with Site leaders and Senior Management.
• Running of weekly stock reports and investigation / analysis of manufacturing variances
• Ensure all weekly and monthly material costing routines are run to highlight any manufacturing booking errors or discrepancies.
• Support month end activities, including accrual calculations for labour, energy and direct costs.

Profile

Joining this welcoming team, you will be a key hire for the team and you will be analytically minded and come with strong Excel skills to help the organisation analyse data and support with the interpretation and recommendations for data outcomes

• Efficient, able to prioritise and organise workload.
• Proficient analytical skills, accurately manipulating data
• Good knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS etc)
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
• Ability to work well both alone and as part of a team.
• Inquisitive and analytical mindset.
• Self-starter with solution-orientated mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A high degree of accuracy is required.
