We have an opportunity for someone to join us as an Enterprise Architect where you will be responsible for aligning the technology provided by the ICT Service to the needs of Westmorland & Furness Council.

The Enterprise Architect will advise the ICT Service Management Team to make appropriate business, technology and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk.

You'll be a key member of the ICT Service Management Team, driving the organisation's ICT infrastructure transformation towards innovation and customer focus.

The role will involve providing technical expertise and leadership, leading roadmap development aligned with strategic goals, and facilitating seamless collaboration across teams.

Additionally, you'll make decisions balancing risk and cost-effectiveness, design solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, and oversee cross-functional improvement programs. Maintaining the integrity of the ICT infrastructure through effective diagnostic analysis will also be a priority.

Who we are looking for

For this role we are looking for candidates who have an extensive technical knowledge spanning ICT infrastructure platform such as data centres, networks, cloud services, and security technologies.

The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is paramount. Bridging this communication gap ensures alignment with organisational objectives and strategies.

Having an understanding of business dynamics and their implications is key. Your focus should be on outcomes rather than solutions, constantly evolving strategies based on feedback and findings.

An Honours degree, professional accreditation or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
