As a Supervisor you are an important part of the Management Team.

The Plough is a varied business offering beautiful hotel bedrooms and self catering properties for visiting guests, as well as being a popular and well respected restaurant and pub.


Your role would have involvement in all aspects of the business, supporting the Management Team as well as mentoring and guiding the rest of the team.

We are looking for a full time Supervisor to work between 30-40 hours per week. Your shifts would be a mixture of day time and evening shifts working 5 days out of 7.

A typical day for a Supervisor role would involve

  • Running breakfast shifts, looking after our hotel guests ensuring they have a delicious start to their day
Checking guests out of the hotel and self-catering properties

Take hotel and self-catering bookings as well as dinner bookings for our restaurant

Setting up of The Plough ahead of our opening times and contribute to general daily cleaning tasks

Checking in guests to the hotel and self-catering properties

A typical evening for a Supervisor role would be

  • Overseeing the running of a shift, ensuring the rest of the team are working their correct roles and giving the premium service that we strive to offer to our visitors
Be a welcoming and confident member of the team, be a face of our business and build rapports with our guests

Offer assistance and support to our team, give training where needed

Ensure all daily jobs are completed by yourself and delegate to others

Cash handling and sending end of day reports
