An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician to join the manufacturing team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manufacture Production components and jigs.
Maintain a safe working environment ensuring that all company andregulatory standards are always achieved.

Contribute to continuous improvement through the identification, reportingand resolution of Non-Conformance to products and materialsCarry out manual/CNC machining – turning (sliding head), milling andsurface grindingPerform sub assembly and bench fitting of precision toolsRead and interpret engineering drawingsMake fixtures and other work-holding devices and tools as appropriateFull mechanical inspection with the aid of an CMMProgram CNC machines and the use of CAD/CAM systemsQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Has completed a formal apprenticeship in a "Toolmaking" or "Fitter / Turner" discipline or has experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of CNC Machining RequiredONC – HNC in mechanical engineering advantageous.

To be competent in the use of engineering machinery such as:

  • Milling machines, Lathes, Surface grinders, and CNC machines including sliding head.
Capable of programming CNC machines through MDI or using CAD/CAMBackground in Inspection.
