Who you'll be supporting & more about the role: At Princes St, we have 10 flats in the building, all independent living with en-suites. We are all adults with a mixture of additional needs such as Autism, Down syndrome and mental health support. We are all adults and our dream staff team would be resilient, supportive, caring and motivated. We love staff who want to join in and enjoy going out on activities. We also like staff who can be on hand when we are wanting days in - to spend time with us and keep us company. Staff must be positive and full of life. We are looking for committed, attentive and forward thinking staff. We are a town centre building in Southport not far from the main stretches of chapel street and lord street. We are part of the Southport community and have local transport links to Manchester and Liverpool via train or Preston via the bus. We are in the centre of all the activity in the town centre and this is idea for us as we have lots of potential for activities with in reach.

We have 3 staff on shift mostly and sometimes we have staff working on a basis to support them to reach their long term goals. Shifts start at 8am and finish at 10pm Some times these shifts are split in to 8-12,12-4, or 4-10. We also have sleep in shifts.

Your values: What essential skills and experience is needed for the role? If we can recruit people with no experience add: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals' values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
