As a key member of a multifaceted team collaborating with consultants, we are seeking experienced IP optometrists holding the higher certificate/diploma in glaucoma. Responsibilities include triage, conducting pre and post-operative consultations for glaucoma patients, assessing their suitability for treatment, and managing them in alignment with care protocols and frameworks.
- Analyze and interpret diagnostic data to identify and address new or progressing glaucoma-related ocular conditions using antiglaucoma medications/SLT, as appropriate
- Conduct post-surgery glaucoma clinics, documenting observations in electronic medical records
- Offer clinical guidance to patients and refer them to a medical practitioner when needed
Prior experience working as an optometrist within a glaucoma pathway in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic patient administration and medical record systems is essential
