Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.Our client is now looking to secure a Senior Buyer, to support a team of 5 whilst managing a commodity. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help to ensure the purchasing function is efficient and meets customer service levels.
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for:
Guiding and supporting a team of 5 including one-to-ones and organising professional development
Management of the MRP systems for a particular commodity list, whilst having oversight of the team and their commodities
Ensuring that materials are purchased in time to support engineering activities
Ensuring the working environment remains positive at all times
Key skills required for the Senior Buyer role, Stevenage (Hybrid):
Proven experience in a senior purchasing role
Ability to guide and positively impact a team
Proven ability to effectively use MRP/ERP systems
Beneficial to have experience with electronic components
Highly desirable to have CIPS
