The Business Analyst will work within the firm, helping to manage, change and plan for the future in line with our goals. Business Change will be critical to success so must be an area you are comfortable and experienced in.

You need to quickly gain an understanding of the current organisational situation, find future needs, and create solutions to help meet those needs, usually (but not always) in relation to information and software systems. You will help the firm to develop its functions, services, and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.

Key accountabilities:


•Communicate with internal colleagues to understand and document the needs of departments and the enterprise as a whole.


•Collaborate with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function or product provided.


•Use data and process modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes.


•Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations.


•Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make.


•Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders, as necessary.


•Ensure that proper training, business readiness and testing are included as part of a final processes.


•Ensure processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.


•Be active in the Change process.


•Gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business.


•Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern.


•Support colleagues and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues.


•Mentor trainee Business analysts.


•Work to deadlines and deliver to multiple projects.

Experience, qualifications and skills level.


•Relevant experience of business systems analysis is essential.


•Understanding of Sliced Bread ShareDo or similar platform would be an advantage.


•Legal experience not essential, but they will need to come from a regulated / legal environment (insurance, NHS, banking)


•The ability to work in groups, analyse data and use technology.

Skills


•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties.


•Process documentation and use of Visio or equivalent essential.


•Ability to motivate others and lead change.


•Ability and experience in managing and developing staff.


•Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.


•Passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.


•Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach.


•Strong interest in business process re-engineering.


•Good understanding of information technology

Other requirements


•Hybrid role - weekly presence needed in the Glasgow office.

Salary - to £60k plus benefits.
