An opportunity to join the Vodafone Fixed broadband team central to driving Vodafone strategy as a converged challenger and the fastest growing broadband provider in the UK.

The Strategy & Portfolio team is responsible from supporting the Fixed Home Broadband business in three areas:

  • Identification and assessment of new strategic opportunities to grow the HBB business
  • Planning & management of HBB portfolio, CAPEX/OPEX investment & delivery roadmap
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve ways of working for HBB, driving delivery efficiencies & quality, speed to market and team collaboration


We work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders including HBB product, proposition, CX, commercial and partnerships teams, Strategy, Consumer planning & delivery, technology and finance teams to develop strategic plans ensuring thorough assessment with inputs from all areas, and prioritise, plan and track HBB deliveries enabling our strategic roadmap.

We constantly review our ways of working to identify improvement areas in our processes and methodologies. We work in SAFe Agile framework across the team and are piloting Value Streams for HBB.

As Strategy & Portfolio team one of our key transformation objectives is to execute, test, learn from and keep improving Value Stream implementation to achieve our delivery and team objectives.


The Strategy and Portfolio Specialist will be supporting the Snr Strategy & Portfolio Manager in all three areas of ownership, providing an opportunity to develop skills across strategy development, portfolio management and transformation.


What will you be doing?

  • Work with Strategy & HBB teams to identify, assess and develop strategic plans to grow HBB business
  • Track, measure and report Full Fibre expansion programme, work closely with Supply Chain, Networks, Partnerships teams and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks ahead and project manage Full Fibre initiatives
  • Support HBB demand planning, prioritisation & governance, working with wider business and technology teams to get new demand assessed and planned, track budget movements and delivery plans and ensure alignment across teams
  • Organise quarterly PI Planning events for HBB Tribe
  • Support yearly OPEX & CAPEX planning process by coordinating readiness activities
  • Maintain and evolve HBB planning and delivery processes with inputs from the HBB Tribe and stakeholders
  • Support HBB transformation initiatives aiming to improve delivery efficiencies and Value Stream implementation
