The Trust has an exciting opportunity for Trust Doctors to join our Emergency Medicine Team.

The postholder will be required to work closely with department seniors and be able to communicate with patients and all levels of staff.

Shop floor work assessing and managing Emergency patients efficiently within prescribed timeframes to minimise harm and risk within the department.

To work effectively within the departmental team and communicate well with patients, General Practitioners and hospital colleagues.

To participate in all pillars of clinical governance, using audit findings to improve the quality of treatment and to minimise clinical risk.

To communicate and work closely with the departmental seniors at all times.
Support at the level of Middle Grade or Consultant is available throughout the day and night.

The duties of the post are the normal duties of a doctor in this grade and specialty and he/she will be an integral part of this pleasant, efficient and progressive department, providing immediate medical care, and assisting in reviewing all follow-up patients.

The ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with patients, GPs and hospital colleagues is essential.
Educational support is provided to all junior medical staff, whether in established training grades or not.

We also support individual training needs by means of an allocated Educational Supervisor and aim to support applicants in obtaining other specialty experience before embarking on their continued career.

We have a good record for Trust Grade doctors entering training after a period of time working in the department in Peterborough.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
