The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for electrical assembly, testing, and inspection within our manufacturing facility. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with product certification procedures, budgets, and project deadlines.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture sub-assemblies and final assemblies based on specified requirements.
  • Develop and modify PCBs and PCAs as necessary.
  • Meet electrical manufacturing build, inspection, and test timelines.
  • Follow manufacturing build plans for timely completion.
  • Conduct self-certification, inspection, and testing processes.
  • Uphold workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing process protocols.
  • Preserve product certification and approval via regular audits.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in enhancing methods and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • City and Guilds, HNC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering setting, preferably in aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Experience in harness building.
  • Proficient mechanical and wiring assembly skills, including soldering, crimping, and the use of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to handle both repetitive and unique tasks.
  • Capability to interpret work instructions, mechanical drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring schedules.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing/process improvement tools.
  • Strong grasp of health and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and stock management systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and results-oriented with a team-player mindset.
  • Certification in J-STD-001 and IPC610 is highly desirable.
