This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator who will oversee payroll tasks with precision and efficiency. The selected candidate will manage weekly and monthly payrolls, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines.

Overview of the Role:

  • Manage weekly and monthly payroll operations, guaranteeing accuracy during payments.
  • Submit agency hours using the correct timesheets on a weekly basis.
  • Keep track of employee records in TMS & Sage or equivalent systems.
  • Accurately handle new hires and departures.
  • Organize and store all documentation for employees and payroll purposes.
  • Accurately record holidays and sickness absences through TMS.
  • Add new agency employees to the system, ensuring proper department, site, and manager allocation.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for badge numbers and agency badges.
  • Update tax codes, payroll deductions, and any HMRC-related information.
  • Enter payroll journals into the ERP system and complete necessary intercompany journals.
  • Prepare P45s for departing employees and ensure weekly updates of RTI submissions to HMRC.
  • Generate P32s for each company and submit them for payment processing.
  • Approve agency invoices, analyze costs, and allocate invoices correctly.
  • Accurately update wage variations and increases in TMS & Sage.
  • Manage pension schemes, including setup, reporting, and payments.
  • Process statutory payments like SMP & SPP, as well as AOE/DWP/CSA payments.
  • Efficiently handle queries and rectify wage discrepancies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Payroll Administrator role.
  • Familiarity with payroll tools, particularly TMS & Sage software.
  • Understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Precise attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with various stakeholders.
