Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team in Poole, Dorset. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to students of varying levels. The Science Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment. Strong classroom management skills are essential to maintain discipline and ensure a productive learning experience for all students.

Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Experience teaching Science subjects at secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Science subjects at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
