This is the job As the Procurement Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will ensure Purchase Orders and Supplier Compliance to our Procurement policy as well as mitigating any potential risk exposure the AA might experience through the Purchase to Pay lifecycle.


This role will include the development, implementation, and management of the current purchase to pay strategies to ensure continuous improvement.


What will I be doing?:

  • The daytoday management of the AA's supplier onboarding and governance model. Ensuring that suppliers are onboarded correctly, and any risks and issues identified are escalated and reported to the appropriate forums.
  • Execute and manage the daytoday processes for current/horizon risk monitoring for the AA's supplier base and work closely with the Procurement Risk Coordinator to ensure that all risks are properly recorded, escalated and managed
  • Manage and perform credit checks and financial due diligence activity across the AA's supplier base
  • Day to day monitoring and management of the regulated business' Supplier Risk Matrix, reviewing and analysis of results across the supplier base liaising with the business relationship managers for input.
  • Monitoring and analysing the results of the AA's supplier base Sanctions and PEPs checking results, escalating concerns with Group Risk and Compliance and the appropriate governance forums.
  • Review controls in place to effectively manage suppliers, and make recommendations for improvements, including the maintenance and improvement of supplier risk management workflows via Visio
  • Supplier communication: ensure suppliers are kept informed of any changes to the AA ways of working and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with the 'No PO No Payment' policy across the AA and oversight of PO processing

What do I need? Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in Procurement or finance Purchase to Pay Operations
  • Skills in influencing others to assess and monitor supplier risk and follow supplier risk management policy
  • Communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong Excel spreadsheets & data analysis skills
  • Proven solid analytical and problemsolving skill
  • Autonomous with ability to use own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Auditing experience
- experience using SAP Ariba or a similar tool
